The bank, operating across all 23 regions in Madagascar, is embarking on a “digital modernisation journey” for its SME clients and retail customers. To bolster this effort, the bank will utilize Temenos’ platform across its operations and product portfolio, aiming for “personalised, digital-first banking solutions,” with support from Temenos’ multi-regional delivery partner.
US-based Orion asserts its digital services and technology solutions will overhaul legacy systems, introduce innovative products, and seize new business opportunities for BNI Madagascar. They also promise to enable “a unified banking experience across various touchpoints,” including online banking, mobile banking, and in-branch services.
Having successfully implemented the platform for clients like Cebuana Lhuillier Bank in the Philippines and Africa and Gulf Bank in Sudan, Orion’s involvement is expected to drive significant transformation.
Alexandre Mey, CEO of BNI Madagascar, sees this implementation as pivotal in “steering the digital revolution in Madagascar,” aiming to foster a banking ecosystem that not only meets current market needs but also anticipates future ones.
Thibault Huvelle, head of digital at BNI Madagascar, emphasizes that the partnership with Orion aims to ensure that their solutions are not just cutting-edge but also tailored precisely to the unique requirements of the Malagasy market.
