The final round and award ceremony of the ‘Bangladesh Agricultural Olympiad (BAO) Season-3’ was held at Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU). During the event, the winners of the Olympiad were announced and awards were distributed.
On Friday (May 31) at 10:30 AM, the final examination and prize giving ceremony commenced in the Syed Nazrul Islam Conference Hall of the university, organized by the Bangladesh Agricultural Olympiad.
The event was graced by the presence of the Vice-Chancellor of BAU, Professor Dr. Emdadul Haque Chowdhury, Secretary of the Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI), S. M. Ferdous Alam, Advisor of Student Affairs division, Professor Dr. Md. Harun-or-Rashid, Technical Assistance Coordinator of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Dr. Emanun Nabi Khan, and the Chief Advisor of BAO, Professor Dr. Md. Romij Uddin. Additionally, teachers and students from various universities and departments were in attendance.
The final examination saw the participation of over 250 contestants. Awards were given in eight categories: Agriculture, Agricultural Innovation and Technology, Animal Production, Biotechnology and Genetics, Animal Health and Biosecurity, Food and Nutrition, Agribusiness and Agricultural Economics, and Fisheries. Three winners from each category, totaling 24 individuals were awarded. The awards included certificates, medals, books, and gift boxes.
