Bata Breaks Silence: “We’re Not Israeli-Owned” Company Urges for Peace and Truth Amid Misinformation

Footwear giant Bata has spoken out following a wave of misinformation claiming the brand has ties to Israel. The company has firmly denied the rumors and is calling for peace and understanding as tensions rise.

In a public post on their official Facebook page, Bata Bangladesh clarified that the brand is neither Israeli-owned nor politically affiliated with the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict.

“Bata Globally is a privately held, family-owned company founded in the Czech Republic,” the company stated. “We have no political ties to the conflict.”

This statement comes in response to recent vandalism at several Bata retail locations in Bangladesh, which the company believes were triggered by false online claims.

Bata expressed deep regret over these incidents and strongly condemned all forms of violence, urging everyone to verify facts before reacting to online narratives.
